Wind Energy is a powerful addition to remote and rural locations that have sufficient wind activity for long term generation of electricity. The key element is to carry out a proper survey of the location to asses the viability of wind generated power. Typically, costal areas, valley areas and locations close to mountain ranges will have continual wind activity at sufficient levels to either provide the main source of power or as a hybrid system of solar, wind and some level of generator power.
